01 · What Are Cookies

What Are Cookies

Cookies are small text files placed on your device by a website when you visit it. They help websites remember information about your visit — for example, whether you have accepted a cookie notice — which can make the site work better and feel more consistent across sessions.

Cookies are widely used and are generally harmless. You can control or delete them through your browser settings at any time (see the browser instructions section below).

02 · Cookies We Use

Types of Cookies We Use

Essential Cookies

Always Active

These cookies are required for the website to function. They manage things like your cookie consent preference so we do not ask you repeatedly. They cannot be disabled because the site relies on them to operate correctly.

Examples: Cookie consent storage (localStorage), session continuity.

Analytics Cookies

Optional

These cookies help us understand how visitors interact with our website — which pages are visited most, where visitors come from, and how long they spend on each page. This information is used only to improve the site experience and is not shared for advertising purposes.

Examples: Google Analytics (GA4) — page views, session duration, traffic sources.

Retention: Up to 14 months.

Marketing Cookies

Optional

These cookies are used to understand how effective our outreach efforts are. They may track whether a visitor arrived via an advertisement and help us measure the value of our marketing activity — without storing personally identifiable information beyond what you explicitly provide.

Examples: Facebook Pixel, Google Ads conversion tracking, Microsoft Clarity.

Retention: Up to 90 days.

Preference Cookies

Optional

These cookies remember choices you make on the site — such as your preferred language or display settings — so your next visit feels familiar. They are not used to track your behaviour across other websites.

Examples: Language selection, display preferences.

Retention: Up to 12 months.

03 · Third-Party Cookies

Third-Party Cookies

Some cookies on our site are placed by third-party services that we use to understand site traffic and measure the reach of our informational content. These may include:

  • Google Analytics / Google Ads — website usage analysis and advertising performance measurement. Google's privacy policy is available at google.com/policies/privacy.
  • Meta (Facebook) Pixel — used to understand referrals from Meta platforms. Meta's data policy is available at facebook.com/privacy/policy.
  • Microsoft (Bing) — Bing Ads conversion tracking for measuring the effectiveness of search advertising.

Legacara does not sell your data to third parties and does not use cookies for behavioural profiling unrelated to our own operational improvement.

04 · Cookie Duration

Cookie Duration

Cookies vary in how long they remain on your device:

  • Session cookies — temporary cookies that are deleted automatically when you close your browser. These are used for basic navigation and security.
  • Persistent cookies — remain on your device for a defined period (as noted in the cookie type descriptions above) or until you delete them manually. These remember your preferences between visits.

You can delete all cookies from your browser at any time. See the browser instructions section below for guidance.
