REF-C01 · About Legacara

A Place Where Records Find Their Order

We started Legacara because too many families face the same situation: a loved one passes and the people left behind have no clear picture of what exists, where it is or what was wanted. The materials we provide are built to change that, quietly and at whatever pace suits you.

REF-C02 · Our Story

How Legacara Came to Be

Legacara was founded in Nonthaburi by a small group of people with backgrounds in archival organisation and personal record management. The idea was simple: the tools that institutions use to maintain orderly records should be available to families too — adapted for personal use, made accessible, and designed without bureaucratic complexity.

We noticed that most people have a general intention to organise their affairs at some point. What they lack is not the will but a clear starting point. A blank sheet of paper is not enough. A folder without structure fills with random papers. Belongings with no written notes lose the stories attached to them.

So we built Legacara around practical materials — checklists, folder systems, cataloguing templates — that give people a structure to follow at their own speed. Nothing is stored on our servers. Nothing requires a third party. The records you build belong entirely to you and to the people you choose to share them with.

Since opening, we have worked with families across Thailand — some planning ahead in their fifties, others in their seventies who want their grandchildren to understand where things came from. The materials adapt to both.

Mission

To make personal record organisation straightforward and private — giving families a considered structure for the documents, belongings and wishes that matter most.

How We Work

We design our materials with care — plain language, logical structure, no jargon. Everything is self-serve. Legacara provides general information and administrative tools, not legal or financial advice. We believe that distinction matters and we maintain it clearly.

Values

Privacy. Patience. Practicality. We do not rush people. We do not oversell. We provide tools that respect the sensitivity of the subject and trust the people using them to know their own needs.

How We Maintain Quality

Plain Language Standard

Every template and guide is reviewed for clarity before release. We remove technical language and rewrite anything that requires specialist knowledge to understand.

Privacy by Design

Our materials are built so that personal data stays entirely with the user. Legacara does not collect, store or process the content you record within any template.

Regular Material Updates

Templates are reviewed and updated at least annually. When formats change or new record types become relevant, we revise materials and notify existing clients.

Clear Scope of Service

We are explicit about what Legacara does and does not provide. Our tools are for personal organisation only. We do not offer legal, financial or medical guidance — and we say so plainly.

Cataloguing Accuracy

For heirloom cataloguing work, each entry follows a consistent format — description, condition, provenance and notes — reviewed against our internal style guide before delivery.

Responsive Support

Queries sent by phone or email during working hours receive a response within one working day. We take the time to understand each question before replying.

REF-C05 · Expertise & Values

Organising Records as a Considered Act

Personal record organisation is not a single task — it is an ongoing practice. The documents that define a household shift over time: new accounts open, properties change, contacts update, collections grow. A good system accommodates that movement without needing to be rebuilt from the beginning.

Legacara's approach draws on archival principles that have been used in institutional settings for decades. We have adapted these into practical formats suited to personal use — simpler, less formal and built around the way individuals actually store and reference information at home.

Family heirlooms present a particular challenge. Objects carry meaning that is not obvious from appearance alone. A piece of furniture, a set of photographs or a collection of letters may carry significant family history — but only if that history is written down somewhere. Verbal accounts fade. Written records with photographs and provenance notes do not.

We designed our cataloguing tools to capture those accounts in a way that can be passed on clearly. The goal is not a formal valuation — it is a human record: where the piece came from, who owned it, what it meant and where it now sits. That record becomes part of the family's own archive.

For families who are simply beginning to think about personal organisation, our inventory templates offer a low-pressure starting point. They can be completed in sections, returned to over time and shared with family members when the time feels right. There is no required sequence. People typically begin with whatever category of record feels most pressing — financial accounts, insurance documents, contact lists — and build from there.

Legacara serves families across Thailand, with materials delivered in English. We work with people at all stages of life — those planning ahead, those sorting through inherited belongings and those who simply want to bring a little more order to their personal affairs.
