How the Materials Are Structured
Each Legacara toolkit is built around a principle drawn from archival practice: records should be consistent, contextual and comprehensible to someone who encounters them fresh. That means clear headings, logical groupings and enough explanatory text that the record makes sense without the original author's presence.
The three toolkits are designed to work independently or together. The Asset Inventory Templates cover belongings and contacts in a compact format. The Legacy Documentation Toolkit adds a broader folder structure for instructions, accounts and personal wishes. Heirloom Cataloguing handles the specific challenge of meaningful objects whose value lies partly in their story.
All materials are delivered in standard formats. Nothing is stored with Legacara. No platform access is required. Completion happens at whatever pace suits you.
